When Do I Have to Pay the Fee for Not Having Insurance?

Q & A for the new Insurance Laws

Q. When do I have to pay the fee for not having insurance?
A. An uninsured person would pay the fee in 2015, when they file their 2014 federal income tax return.

Q. What happens if I don’t pay the fee?
A. The IRS will hold back the amount of the fee from any future tax refunds. There are no liens, levies, or criminal penalties for failing to pay the fee.

Q. What if I’m unemployed? Is there still a fee?
A. It all depends on your household income. If insurance is unaffordable to you based on your income, you may qualify for an exemption from the fee. Complete an application in the Health Insurance Marketplace to determine whether your income qualifies you for an exemption.

Q. Are the rules the same in every state?
A. Yes. The rules about paying penalties are the same whether the Marketplace is run by your state or the federal government.

Q. If I sign up for a plan or get insurance by March 31, 2014 but was not covered before that in 2014, will I have to pay a fee or responsibility payment?
A. No. As long as you enroll in a Marketplace plan by March 31, 2014, you won’t have to pay the penalty for any months you were uncovered in 2014 before your Marketplace coverage starts.

Webscribble Webdate for PHP 5.2+ Moving Server Beyond Zend Optimizer

I have been running a webscribble webdate script for the Past 10 years. When I tried to update my version of PHP there was a problem with decoder required to run the webdate 3.0 script was not available beyond PHP version 5.2.

I spent 3 years delaying my PHP version upgrade because the Zend Optimizer not being available.

I am happy to say I found the work around for this in all versions of PHP5. If you need a hand getting your webscribble webdate site running on newer server use the contact form and I can help you out.

Zend Optimizer not installed

This file was encoded by the Zend Encoder / Zend SafeGuard Suite

In order to run it, please install the freely available Zend Optimizer, version 2.1.0 or later.

What is the Zend Optimizer?

The Zend Optimizer is one of the most popular PHP plugins for performance-improvent, and has been freely available since the early days of PHP 4. It improves performance by taking PHP’s intermediate code through multiple Optimization Passes, which replace inefficient code patterns with efficient code blocks. The replacement code blocks perform exactly the same operations as the original code, only faster.

In addition to performance-improvement, the Zend Optimizer also enables PHP to transparently load files encoded by the Zend Encoder or Zend SafeGuard Suite.

The Zend Optimizer is a freely-available product from Zend Technologies. Zend Technologies is the company that develops the scripting engine of PHP, also known as the Zend Engine.

Zend Optimizer not available on server?

I have a lot of my customers recently complaining their server no longer supports the Zend Optimizer.

Some scripts that require the Zend Optimizer to load are now not running.

One of these scripts that I work with everyday is the webdate script from webscribble… They also have webjobs , webnetwork etc… That use the Zend Optimizer.

There is no longer support for the Optimizer from Zend.

If you need a server that will continue to run the Zend Optimizer for your script please use the contact link above and I can help you out.
