Marketplace Insurance Questions and Answers

When Do I Have to Pay the Fee for Not Having Insurance?

Q & A for the new Insurance Laws

Q. When do I have to pay the fee for not having insurance?
A. An uninsured person would pay the fee in 2015, when they file their 2014 federal income tax return.

Q. What happens if I don’t pay the fee?
A. The IRS will hold back the amount of the fee from any future tax refunds. There are no liens, levies, or criminal penalties for failing to pay the fee.

Q. What if I’m unemployed? Is there still a fee?
A. It all depends on your household income. If insurance is unaffordable to you based on your income, you may qualify for an exemption from the fee. Complete an application in the Health Insurance Marketplace to determine whether your income qualifies you for an exemption.

Q. Are the rules the same in every state?
A. Yes. The rules about paying penalties are the same whether the Marketplace is run by your state or the federal government.

Q. If I sign up for a plan or get insurance by March 31, 2014 but was not covered before that in 2014, will I have to pay a fee or responsibility payment?
A. No. As long as you enroll in a Marketplace plan by March 31, 2014, you won’t have to pay the penalty for any months you were uncovered in 2014 before your Marketplace coverage starts.

How to make a DIV timed. Timed content HTML Javascript – Hidden until time expires

Hello everyone it’s Paul

I was looking for a solution to put timed content on an html page using javascript

I am sharing the easiest method I found it created a timed <DIV> so you can put anything you want in there

on your html page immediately after <head> add this code:

<script src=’http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.min.js’></script>
<script>$(function() {
$(“.hipopout”).delay(120000).fadeIn();
});
</script>
<style>.hipopout { display: none; }</style>

Now that you have that in the header area all you do is put the DIV anywhere between <BODY> </BODY> where you want the hidden content

<div class=’hipopout’>

Hidden Content goes here will show up after 120 seconds.

</div>

Big Foot

Cryptozoology

We have all heard the stories of Big Foot and the Lochness Monster and many more of the mystical creatures out there. Cryptozoology is the study of, or the search for animals or creatures of whose existence has not been proven, or are believed to be extinct. Now, before you roll your eyes at this article, remember many animals we now know to be true, such as the Panda Bear, were once thought to be only legends.

Big Foot is probably the most publicized cryptozoological figure. The term “sasquatch” is a derivative of the word “Sésquac”, meaning

Big Foot

One of the most popular and disputed photos of Big Foot.

“wild man”. The original word, from the Halkomelem language, is used by the Coast Salish Indians of the Fraser Valley and parts of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Indian tribes across North America have more then fifty names for the sasquatch. The name “Bigfoot” wascreated by the “media” in the middle of the last century during a rash of sightings in Northern California.

Many people think that Big Foot is just a made up creature in the minds of nervous hunters or kids partying out in the wild, misinterpreting what is really a bear with a Big Foot. There are some theories that a Big Foot is really a Gigantopithecus, a giant cousin of the orangutan that is believe to be extinct.

Big Foot sightings are usually reported in North America, especially in California and along the East coast. Here’s a map to show you were most sightings are.

goats.” It got it’s name when farmers started finding there goats and other livestock with puncture wounds in the neck and supposedly drained of blood. A couple people have found corpses of strange animals believed by some to be one of these mythical creatures, but scientists have ruled out pretty much each case as being either diseased coyotes or wild dogs.

Mothman

Mothman refers to the legendary creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia.

Here is the original story of the Mothman.

” On Nov. 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant, Roger and Linda Scarberry, and Steve and Mary Mallette told police they mothmansaw a large white creature whose eyes “glowed red” when the car headlights picked it up. They described it as a “flying man with ten foot wings” following their car while they were driving in an area of town known as ‘TNT’, the site of a former World War II munitions plant. During the next few days, other people reported similar sightings, including two volunteer firemen who said it was a “large bird with red eyes”. Mason County Sheriff George Johnson commented that he believed the sightings were due to an unusually large heron locally termed a “shitepoke”. Contractor Newell Partridge told Johnson that when he aimed a flashlight at a creature in a nearby field its eyes glowed “like bicycle reflectors”, and blamed buzzing noises from his television set and the disappearance of his German Shepherd dog on the creature. A wildlife biologist at West Virginia University told reporters that descriptions and sightings all fit the Sandhill Crane, a large American crane almost as high as a man with a seven foot wingspan featuring circles of reddish coloring around the eyes, and that the bird may have wandered out of its migration route. There were no more reports after the Dec. 15, 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge and the death of 46 people, giving rise to legends that the sightings and the bridge collapse were connected.”

Many UFOlogists believe that the Mothman is an alien.

UFOs

OK, I don’t know is this is considered crypto or not, but I’m putting it in here anyways. Even if we do have evidence of UFOs or aliens, alienthe government might not let us see it anyways, so it may never be proven. Many have been captured on video and in pictures, but with all the fraudulent ones out there, it is hard to know what is real and what isn’t.

UFOs are seen everywhere by almost everyone. There are cave drawings of UFO’s, ancient Egyptian drawings, and almost every culture gives mention to “Gods coming from the sky.” Modern days mysteries include Area 51, which is rumored to house UFOs and maybe even aliens. Area 51 is a military base, and a remote detachment of Edwards Air Force Base. It is located in the southern portion of Nevada in the western United States a couple hours north of Las Vegas. Situated at its center, on the southern shore of Groom Lake, is a large military airfield. The base’s primary purpose is to support development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems, but many believe there are many secrets held there. And if you ever saw how it was guarded, you might believe it.

The most famous case of course was Roswell. The Roswell case was the recovery of an object (UFO) that crashed in the general vicinity of Roswell, New Mexico, in the summer of1947. Since the late 1970s the incident has been the subject of intense controversy and of conspiracy theories as to the true nature of the object that crashed. The United States Armed Forces maintains that what was recovered was debris from an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon belonging to a classified program named “Mogul.” But many witnesses to the event maintain that an alien craft was found and its occupants were captured, and that the military then engaged in a cover up. The case was said to be an air balloon accident and that was that.

Cryptids that were found to be real!

owl

The Devil Bird- The Devil Bird, or Ulama, is a frightening horned bird of Sri Lankan folklore. This elusive creature is rarely seen, but locals said it can be heard from its blood-curdling screams. Its cries are said to resemble a wailing woman. For centuries, the nocturnal cries of the Devil Bird were the only evidence of its existence, Western science wrote if off as mere superstition. Until 2001, it was finally identified as a new species of owl, the spot-bellied eagle owl . It is the largest of Sri Lankan owls, the spot-beliied eagle owl matches the description of the Ulama perfectly, down to its characteristic screech and tufted “horns”.

The Water Owl

Ziphius

In Medieval folklore, the Ziphius, or “Water-Owl”, was a monstrous nautical creature said to attack ships in the northern seas. It possessed the body of a fish and the head of an owl, complete with massive eyes and a scary wedge-shaped beak. “Ziphius”, meaning “sword-like” in Latin, may refer to the beast’s fin, which was said to pierce the hulls of ships like a sword. Now it has been discovered and renamed the Cuvier’s Beaked Whale. Also known as the Goose-beaked whale, this creature is found as far north as the Shetland Islands and as south as Tierra Del Fuego at the tip of South America. It is the only member of the genus Ziphius, which bears the name of its legendary identity.

Bondegezou

cryptozoology

The Bondegezou is a legendary, ancestral spirit of the Moni people in Western Indonesia. Described as a tree-dwelling creature, the Bondegezou resembles a small man covered in black and white fur. It is said to be a tree climber, but often stands on the ground in a bipedal stance. In the 1980s, a photograph of the Bondegezou was sent to Australian research scientist Tim Flannery, who initially identified the creature as a young tree kangaroo. But in May, 1994, Flannery conducted a wildlife survey of the area and discovered that the animal in the picture was new to science. The Dingiso , is a forest-dwelling marsupial with bold coloration that spends most of its time on the ground. The Dingiso remains a rare sight – the first real evidence of the creature was only skins, and to this day, no Dingiso exists in captivity.

Sea Serpent

Oar Fish

cryptozoology

Is this elusive species what people are seeing when they see a sea serpent? The oarfish (or ribbonfish) is a massive, elongated fish found worldwide. It is the longest of all bony fish, the largest recorded being 17 meters (56 ft) in length. Oarfish typically dwell in the deep ocean, but are occasionally washed ashore in storms, and linger at the surface near death. A live oarfish was filmed for the first time in 2001, demonstrating its rarity and reclusive nature.

Okape

cryptozoology

Central African tribes and ancient Egyptians described and depicted a bizarre creature for centuries, it’s cryptid name was the “African unicorn.” It is known locally by such names as the Atti, or the O’api, resembling a cross between a zebra, a donkey and a giraffe. Despite descriptions from explorers and even skins, Western science rejected the existence of such a creature, viewing it as nothing more than a fantastical chimera of real animals. Determined expeditions uncovered nothing, and it would seem the “African unicorn” was just as mythical as its namesake.

Then in 1901, Sir Harry Johnston, the British governor of Uganda, obtained pieces of striped skin and even a skull of the legendary beast. Through this evidence and the eventual capture of a live specimen, the animal now known as the okapi was recognized by mainstream science. The okapi is the only living relative of the giraffe, sharing a similar body structure and its characteristic long blue tongue. However, the markings on its back legs resemble that of a zebra’s stripes. Okapis are solitary creatures that remain captivating to scientists. There is still much to learn about their habits and lifestyle.

Giant Squid

giant squid

Tales of enormous squids have circulated throughout the world since ancient times. Aristotle and Pliny the Elder both described such monsters. Many classic books were written based on these sea creatures.

In the 1870s skepticism came to a halt when tentacles and complete corpses washed up to the shores and revealed to the scientific world that the giant squid was indeed real. Today, this creature remains just as mysterious and rare. Typically living at great depths, giant squid sightings are uncommon and often undocumented. Until 2004 these giant squids remained elusive, when finally a group of Japanese scientists able to capture a live giant squid on camera, taking 500 automatic photographs before the creature swam away.

Many questions remain concerning the giant squid. Very little is known about its habits and lifestyle, and it is still unknown how large a giant squid can grow. The largest specimens are between 30 and 40 feet long, weighing over 100 pounds. However, its close relative, the Colossal Squid, may grow to much greater sizes, as evidenced by the size of sucker marks on sperm whales.

Cyclopse Shark

cyclopse

This Cyclops shark, sliced from the belly of a pregnant dusky shark caught by a commercial fisherman in the Gulf of California earlier this summer of 2011. Shark researchers have examined the preserved creature and found that its single eye is made of functional optical tissue. They say it’s unlikely, however, that the malformed creature would have survived outside the womb.

My Ouija Board Story

My Ouija Board Story

My Ouija board story began at age 15 in the basement of my best friend Rob in Newington Connecticut.

Me and some friends acquired a Ouija Board and wanted to see if there was any truth to it being able to contact the spiritual world.

I tried the Ouija board with my friend Paul. We both held our fingers softly on the marker and I called out the questions out loud into the room. “Can you hear us” I called. nothing happened the marker did not move on the Ouija Board. Again I called “Can you hear us” nothing.

I decided to try one more time with a different friend named Rob. Rob and I held our hands softly over the marker. I called out  “Can you hear us”. Immediately the marker started doing a figure 8 over the entire board over and over about 6-10 times. I asked my friend are you doing that? He as surprised as me said no.

I called “What is your name?” the board replied with a mans name I prefer not to share as it brings chills to me and I do not wan’t to stir anything up again.

I called “What is your age” the board marker wen’t over the number 0. Which led me to believe whatever we were speaking with was never human therefore had no Human age.

After asking several questions the Board spelled something out without being questioned. The Ouija board spelled out

“I SHOULD NOT BE TALKING TO YOU”

I spoke into the room “Why Not?”

The marker began to move again spelling out

“BECAUSE OF MY TYRANT”

I turned to Rob and asked what is TYRANT?

Rob replied I have no idea.  I was like I don’t know either lets go look it up.

We left the board and went upstairs to the dictionary to look up the word that neither one of us knew the definition of and didn’t even know if it was going to be a word.

I opened the dictionary and to Our surprise “TYRANT” was a word. the definition was as follows.

“TYRANT: AN EVIL OVERPOWERING RULER SUCH AS THE DEVIL”

We never touched the Board Again

Easy Pumpkin Carving Instructions
1. Buy a pumpkin, big enough so your stencil fits on it nicely.

2. Purchase a pumpkin carving tool set. You can get them pretty cheap at Amazon.

3. Cut a lid on top of your pumpkin. Scoop out the meat and seeds of the pumpkin.

4. Print out your stencil. Cut an inch all the way around your pattern. Secure the pattern to your pumpkin with tape. Use a pin or something sharp to push holes all along the pattern.  You can also use transfer paper for this to speed up the process.

5. Now it’s time to carve the pumpkin. Use the little saw from the kit and use it like a pencil using slow back and forth motions to gently carve the pumpkin. Start with the smaller details and work up to the big ones. You will be able to push out the bigger chunks from the inside of the pumpkin.

6. Keeping your pumpkin hydrated is important so your design doesn’t shrivel. Right after carving rinse with water. You can seal the edges of the pumpkin by putting petroleum jelly on them to seal in the moisture. If your pumpkin starts to shrivel, soak in water for a couple minutes. This should revive it.

7. To light up your pumpkin place a small candle in a glass container inside gently. Use a long utility lighter to light it. Never leave candles burning alone.
